Succulent Designs Sydney specialises in softscaping and horticultural maintenance for high-end residential gardens across Sydney's Eastern Suburbs and Lower North Shore. We're a small, focused team — and we're growing.

Casual employee position, Monday to Friday, 7am–3pm, working directly alongside our lead field operator and founder — a qualified horticulturalist who will teach you how to read a garden, not just maintain one.

  • Pruning, shaping and detailed horticultural care

  • Lawn mowing and edging

  • Garden clean-ups, weeding and mulching

  • Planting and garden establishment

  • Pest and disease identification and treatment

  • Working to a consistently high finish — every visit, every property

The Role - Horticulturalist

  • Currently studying or have completed a Certificate III in Horticulture

  • At least 1 year hands-on experience in garden maintenance

  • Current driver's licence and your own vehicle — essential

  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather, including heavy lifting

  • Genuine interest in plants — you notice what's wrong before you're told

  • Reliable, punctual and well presented

  • Professional and respectful with clients on-site

  • Right to work in Australia

This role suits someone who takes pride in the finish, not just the task.

About You

  • $30–40 per hour + superannuation depending on experience, with pay progression as you develop

  • All power tools provided. Bring your own steel-cap boots and secateurs if you have them.

  • Work in some of Sydney's most carefully designed private gardens

  • Learn alongside a qualified horticulturalist from day one

  • Flexible casual hours with genuine growth potential as the business expands

  • Exposure to specialist succulent and dry garden design — a niche almost nobody else in Sydney works in
